Inside the Mind of Steve Cho: Championing Web3 Communications
Steve Cho, our Communication Lead, has a rich background in external relations and communication. He’s traversed the diverse landscape of Web3 businesses through various channels, primarily working with DApp service teams to create projects and broadcast them to the world.
Steve Cho: At Baligames, our goal is simple yet profound: to craft an inclusive, smartphone-accessible game that brings the joy of play without barriers to everyone. And my goal is to let the world know about the existence of ‘fun web3 mobile games’ — games that are immersive, engaging, and available to all. To achieve this, we’ve leveraged partnerships including using the Axie IP, focused on creating an attractive in-game world with diverse content, eye-catching graphics, and captivating effects, and lastly established communication channels including X (Twitter), Substack, Medium, and Discord.
Success, for me personally, means finding a working business model in the Web3 space, and that’s precisely what this project represents. I’ve come to understand through direct and indirect involvement in various Web3 projects that content is the heart of any Web3 business. Mere coin mining and airdrops are insufficient to foster a community. You need content that binds, resonates, and shares among participants. With Axie Champions, we’re keen on building a thriving, growing, dynamic community within the realm of Axie Champions.
While other areas in the Web3 space search for problems to ‘solve,’ gaming, in particular, has clear, existing issues that find solutions in the Web3 space, such as item ownership, game item trading platforms, and more. Consequently, major game developers and projects are ardently working to issue tokens and establish working token economies.
However, a pressing issue is that the majority of Play-to-Earn (P2E) projects have seen the dilution of token value due to mass token sales for the purpose of raising funds. They distribute tokens as incentives without creating value to share with users, leading to token devaluation.
In response, Axie Champions seeks to leverage the CUBE token issued within the RON ecosystem. Our vision is to apply a token economy where tokens are distributed as rewards when users bring value to the ecosystem. This way, the benefits generated are shared with users, aligning the growth of Axie Champions with the best interests of the gamers.
Baligames has designed the Axie Champions in-game economy to utilize CUBE tokens to boost in-game content consumption. Simultaneously, it rewards users with tokens or equivalent incentives when they engage in actions that genuinely create value, such as in-app purchases or watching advertisements. The intricacies of the Axie Champions in-game economy and CUBE token utilization will be explained in more detail later in our community channels.
We look forward to your continued support and participation in the ongoing CBT registration!
